Camponotus irritans

Camponotus irritans is a striking and colourful species of camponotus which is incredibly fast and agile.  They are a fast growing species which will be easy to get started with plenty of proteins and sugars.

They are (like most-all) carpenters, a scavenging species which will take advantage of any easy meals.  Their agression can be seen with nest disturbance though, the use of acid and the aroma it gives off is common plase in a disturbed colony.  The acid smells sweet, almost like turkish delight.
